When dealing with the death of a loved one, many families often find comfort in a traditional service. A Traditional Service follows a familiar set of procedures which often times best suits the needs of family and friends.
After meeting with one of our licensed directors, a viewing or visitation is arranged the day before, or the day of the service for family and friends. The visitation or viewing promotes a personal, peaceful atmosphere for friends and family to say good-bye. Also, the viewing creates a sense of closure of a life lived, by symbolizing a starting point to walking through the steps of grief.
The service to follow will either be held in the funeral home chapel, church or other location depending on the requests of the family and taking into account how many people are expected to attend. The casket is present at the service and a funeral procession to the cemetery, mausoleum or crematorium will follow. A reception or gathering may also take place at the funeral home, family home or other location which creates a supportive, social atmosphere for friends and family to reminisce.
