Ronald White

Ron White of Revelstoke passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops on September 18, 2010.  He will be sadly missed by his children, Myrna (son in law Mike) of Kamloops, Barb of Salmon Arm and Doug of New Westminster and his two grandchildren Amanda and David whom he cherished very much.  As well, he will be missed by his extended family of friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Toni, his parents Lionel and Harriet and brothers Bob and Gordon.

He was born on September 28, 1936 in Vulcan, Alberta.  He moved to Mission, BC shortly after.  He attended automotive trade school in Calgary, Alberta before moving to Enderby and later Revelstoke where he spent 47 years touching the lives of those whom he came into contact with.

He loved fishing, camping, cooking, Halls Landing and most of all his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to either: The Lung Association of BC, PO Box 34009 Stn D, Vancouver, BC  V6J 9Z9 or the Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary, Box 1781, Revelstoke, BC  V0E 2S0.

Ron’s Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 600 W. 1st Street, Revelstoke at 1:00 p.m.  Happy Hour to follow

    We are so sorry for your loss. Everyone who knew him is feeling a loss also. He will be missed so much more than he would ever have expected. One of our favorite memories of him was when he mc’d our wedding reception for us 22 years ago. He was so honored that we had asked him yet it was us who were honored by him accepting the job. He is at peace now. See you on Oct. 2.
    We so loved the little guy and will miss him.

    I knew Ron through RFD, as I work as a paramedic. I just loved how sweet and happy he was. I am so sorry for you loss. He was a great guy. My heart is with you and wish I could be there on the 2nd.
