Madeleine Raymonde Feero went to join the Lord and be with her beloved husband on September 19th, 2010. She was 75 years young.
Madeleine was born on July 22nd, 1935 in Morinville, Alberta. After finishing high school, she moved to Edmonton to take her hairdressing course. Shortly after receiving her accreditation, she then moved to Mayerthorpe, Alberta to start up her own hair salon and became a successful businesswoman.
In 1958, she met the love of her life, Gary Feero. They married shortly after on June 30st, 1959 in Whitecourt, Alberta and eventually settled in the Edmonton area (St. Albert) where they started their family. They moved to Kamloops, BC in 1969 to pursue another business opportunity and to escape the harsh Edmonton winters. Madeleine instantly loved Kamloops and made it her home until her passing.
Madeleine exemplified and epitomized the delicate arts of being a mother and a wife.
Madeleine is survived by her 5 children: Brad Feero, Deanna Feero (Kevin), Cheryl Woldum (Rick), Clyde Feero (Christine) and Bryan Feero (Teena). She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Madeleine was predeceased in 2009 by her husband of 50 years, Gary Feero.
A devout Catholic all of her life, The Lord presented Madeleine with a number of challenges to which she rose to the occasion at every turn while always maintaining her faith and grace to the end.
The Feero family sincerely thanks Drs Hamilton and DeWet, staff at the Ponderosa Adult Day program, nurses at Home and Community Care and RIH 7North.
Should friends desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Unit 111, 450 Lansdowne St, Kamloops, BC V2C 1Y3 or the Alzheimer Society of BC, Box 277 Stn Main, Kamloops, BC V2C 5K6 in memory of Madeleine would be appreciated.
A Prayer service will be held at Holy Family Parish, 2797 Sunset Drive in Kamloops, BC on Friday, September 24th at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 25th at 11:00am at Holy Family Parish. Anyone who would like to attend is more than welcome.
Dear Clyde (and family). I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I’ll spare you all the platitudes and just say that if there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. The photo of your mom is beautiful, and in time your memories of that beautiful, smiling woman will help with healing; I promise, it does happen. It’s been a rough road for all of you lately, I’m glad you have each other to help you through it.
Take care, let me know if I can help.

Dee, Cheryl, Brad, Clyde, Bryan, it has been many years since I have seen you all, but I have never forgotten any of you or your mom and dad. Your mom and dad’s marriage was something to observe. I’d never seen anything like it. I learned what a loving marriage was about from your mom and dad. I can’t imagine how your mom survived 1 day without having Gary next to her.
Love and prayers with you all,
Carey

The family from Ottawa offer our sincere condolences in the passing of a beloved family member , our dear Auntie Madeline. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers.Memories of her always bring a smile to my face
Auntie Madeline was a bundle of energy , a rock for the Feero family and always managed to have a smile on her face.
We our better off for having known her.
To the Feero Family:
Madeleine was one of the nicest ladies we have ever known – always positive, friendly, welcoming, and inspiring in her strong faith. It is so sad that she has passed, it’s still hard to believe, but I know that her memory will always be strong. Her legacy is a wonderful and caring family, and to anyone who knew her, it was easy to see that her family was the most important thing in her life. May you find comfort in this very sad time, and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Peter, Jenny-Lyn, and the boys.
