Lorne Benjamin (Ben) Mesluk

BEN MESLUK

Lorne (Ben) Mesluk, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the age of 56 years. Lorne Benjamin “Ben” Mesluk was born on February 18, 1954 and raised in Grand Forks, British Columbia to parents William George and Helen Mary-Anne (both deceased).  He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Jennifer; son Mathew Benjamin Mesluk (Edmonton); daughter Amanda Jayne Mesluk (Edmonton); sister Lorri Jean Bradley (Kamloops); nephew Scott Allan Trolimenkoff (Kamloops); several aunts and uncles; many close friends and numerous business associates and acquaintances. Ben came to Kamloops in 1969, and was the co-founder of M3Steel (Kamloops) Ltd. and worked building many of the steel structures found throughout Western Canada and beyond.  He was a respected businessman, having assisted many throughout his career with his knowledge and expertise in the steel fabrication world.  He was an avid fisherman, always trying to catch the “big one”; enjoyed golfing with friends; and could always be found watching football, a sport that he truly loved. Most of all he was a devoted and loving partner to his wife Jennifer, they were married in an intimate beach ceremony in Hawaii in 2003.  He had many fiends, both North and South of the border.  Ben’s wife and family were most important to him, and if you were one of the fortunate to become his friend, you could feel that respect and love he shared. Ben left us only in body, for his legacy, so great will never leave our minds and souls.  Ben was a lover of life, and he gave without any expectation.  Those that wish to, please direct your donations in Ben’s name and memory to the “Royal inland Hospital – Paediatrics Ward” Kamloops, a charity he was fond of. You are cordially invited to a “Celebration of Life” in honour of Ben, on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Hills Golf Links Clubhouse, 1185 Links Way, Kamloops.

    Hi Jennifer:
I was shocked to read about Ben. I remember when you both came in to buy
your patio furniture. Ben and yourself were so much fun. Ben was always
    trying to get a “deal”.
Please call me if you need help or would like to have a chat.
    Take care of yourself.
    Sincerely,
    Melanie
