  1. Kevin Kerr says:

My deepest sympathies to you Zelda, Charlie, Guy, Lisa, Andrea, and all the beautiful grandchildren. I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss. I hold such great memories of spending long weekends in your home when growing up, and loved John for his direct, no nonsense commentary of our frivolous teenaged activities and for his humour and for the deep love he clearly held for his family. Peace with you at this time. Kevin and family.

  2. Howard Hunter says:

Zelda, Charlie & Guy my deepest sympathies to you all at this time. John and I were in Sea Cadets together in Kamloops so we go back a long ways to when we were about 14 years old. Our trails later crossed again when John and I worked togther with Location Branch. He was my head chainman along with Hubert George, when we all worked together on Fred Lewis’s crew in such places as Bella Coola,(tent camps), Penticton,Oliver, Osoyoos and Kamloops. We had many good times together. John always had an enthusiasm about everything that he did.He was always willing to learn new things. I always enjoyed our many good times togther.I will really miss him as we became good friends. I will always remember and loved his harty laugher. Take Care and Peace be with you at this time and always!Howard Hunter

  6. Donna Braniff says:

I’m so sorry- I was messing around on the Internet tonight and typed in the family name- my sympathies to you all. Remember the fab car your dad had and was teaching you to drive, Charlie? A right old thing it was in gorgeous condition. You weren’t allowed to drive it until you passed your test!
Lives are remembered for the things we did and I remember your Dad as being kind.
