Joanne passed away tragically on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the age of 32 years. She is survived by her three children Natasha, Mya and Tyson. Her mother Marlene (Tim), brother Jason (Carol), sister Chantelle (Randy) and nieces Kianna and Jaida; grandparents Archie and Sara as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joanne was born on September 8, 1977 in Vancouver, BC before later making her home in Kamloops, BC . She cared passionately about her job as a R.C.A and the clientele she cared for. Joanne’s zest for life, loving nature and special spark will make her greatly missed by her family and friends. To know her was to love her. Her biggest joy in life was her three children to whom she dedicated her life to and through them her legacy will live on. The loss of Joanne will never fade and we will mourn her for the rest of our days. We love you Joanne!

Those wishing to pay their respects by viewing may do so on Wednesday, April 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with your Joanne at Pinegrove and never saw her without a smile. She worked hard with never a complaint. She handled the job of raising her 3 beautiful children with maturity and enormous pride. She was absolutely wonderful with the residents of Pinegrove and will we sadly missed by all who knew her. I am so very sorry to hear of this tragic loss. I have worked with Joanne for the past ( almost 4 years now), and know how proud she was of her children, and she loved to tell me about”what her children did or said” . She was so very dedicated to her children. I know what a caring person she was in the way she looked after the residents in Pine Grove. Joanne will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
I to had the pleasure of working with Joanne,she was always a joy to be around.She was proud of her work and it always showed,she always had a smile that could brighten your day.I cannot imagine what a void she will leave at pinegrove,she will be truley missed by her residents and co workers.Her true love was her children I never knew Joanne to be any thing other than a devoted mother to her three beautiful children.They truley were the most important part of her life.She was an amazing young lady,one that will be missed by all who knew her.This world has lost a little bit of sunshine.
To Joannes kids and Family, I am so truly sorry about what happened to your loving Joanne. I have only known her for a short time but I will always remember her big wonderful smile and how great she is with the residents at work. She is truly missed at work by many.
My grandmother is a resident at Pinegrove and my children and I saw Joanne frequently. I am so sorry for your loss. My grandmother loved Joanne and spoke very highly of her. Joanne was always very kind to my children and always talked about her children. You could definitely tell that she was a dedicated and loving mother. She will be truly missed. my sincere apologies for the tragic passing of this beautiful women. Joanne was my first care aid to work with when i was a student she taught me how to be so caring and patient. I would always see her with her children all over kamloops. I wanted to tell Joanne about my care aid position when i got to my job i seen a obiturary. I went to elementary school with Joanne. I’m completely devastated to hear of her passing. She had such a big heart and was a wonderful mother. My sincerest condolences go to Jason and Marlene and Chantelle and Joanne’s children.

Everybody misses my mom and even sometimes at hard times i cry. she was and still is a saint and always tried to help when she can. she was a rare kind of person, the kind that helps when she can and tries to make the world better. Even though we can”t see her, sometimes you can feel her watching over you and will always be in our hearts<3
