January 21, 2011

Rose and family...Its been six months since Jim's passing and I still expect to see him in his chair
when I come to your home. You and Jim were the first folks to welcome us to Kamloops many years
ago and I'll always remember Lesley and Michael calling you Auntie Rose and Uncle Jim.
Jim was always there to help look for one of the kids if they were missing or track down Mitzie
(Lesley's pup) gone astray. We witnessed some strange happenings when your "giant" spruce tree
had to be dressed with lights. Till we meet again Jim. May God bless you Rose and your family.

Rose & Family
I am deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. What a wonderful, pleasant and kind person he was. Whenever I would run into Jim, he always had a lot to talk about, even though our meetings were few since you moved from the North Shore. There were many times that Jim would drop into our house, on "his way home", and always had so many stories to tell. I know that my mom and dad both cherished you and Jim and missed the visits and hoped that they would see you more often. Jim is now at peace but his memory will live forever. Take care Rose.

Auntie Rose, I'm so very sorry to hear about Uncle Jim's passing. I had no idea he was ill or if this was sudden. I did leave you my condolence's on here but see it does not appear, so I'm sending another to let you know my Prayers are with you and the family, he was a great man and I loved his sense of humor. He always could make you laugh and feel good about yourself. You will feel the loss more than anyone and I'm happy you have so many great friends and of course your family to help you through this sad time. Its never easy to lose a loved one, but I have comfort knowing my mom was waiting for him with open arms. He is now with the rest of his family who passed before him. We will all meet up again someday, until then, know that I'm thinking of you and my cousins also. Love, Barbara and family.

Rose and family, we were surprised to read of Jim's passing. I have many fond memories working with Jim on the out of town crew with Inland Natural Gas. He had a great sense of humour but a serious side as well. I will always remember him saying how proud he was of being from "Wetaskwin, Alberta". I am sure he was proud to be from Kamloops but I never heard him say it. I know he was very proud of you, Rose, and his family. He will also be missed down at the Kamloops Curling Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Sincerely, Ed and Dianne Barker

Rose and family,
Our deepest sympathy Rose, to you and your family. Hearing of Jim's passing brought to mind special times that were spent with your family, the Jeannotte's and other friends we made with BC Gas employees.
Our prayers and thoughts to all of you.

The Sehlin Family
A great man has left us.
I had the pleasure of working on Jim's crew at Inland/BC Gas for many years. The knowledge he passed on and memories he has left me with are immeasurable. We had alot of fun at the "safety" meetings out of town after work. Let it be known that no "30 year old" could ever out work the "old swede"!!!
All the best,Brian Bauer.

The Sehlin Family
I am very sad to hear of Jim's passing.
Rose I look back on my time in 100 Mile as my most memorable with the gas company and Jim played a large part in that. He was a terrific mentor for my development for learning about BC Gas and teaching me what/how to do gas utility work.
Always a smile and a good story at the ready to keep all of the troops spirits up. He will be missed by all.
