It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jim Endert of Kamloops, after a long battle with cancer on June 7, 2010. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Maryann and their children Kathy (Alf), Susanna (Jim), Judy (Ken) and Jackie (Ken) and their children James, Alisha, Sami, Matt, Tori, Sara, Caleb and Madisson.
Jim was born February 25, 1941 in Kenora, Ontario. He was raised in Maple Ridge, B.C. where he graduated from Maple Ridge Secondary in 1960. After a short term in the RCAF, he finished his plumbing apprenticeship and worked till 1982 after which he taught the Plumbing Code at BCIT from 1982 – 1997. He retired on Loon Lake in 1997 where he enjoyed fishing and hunting until 2007, and then moved to Kamloops.
Endless thanks to Dr. Langford for his care and support and all the nursing staff at 7 North in the Royal Inland Hospital.
Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Viktor Gundel officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3 in memory of Jim would be appreciated.

Very belatedly I want do convey my sincere condolences with Jim’s passing. I did not hear about this until recently, but even though quite some time has passed, I did not want to simply let this without letting you and your family know how I always admired Jim’s stoicism facing the loss of one eye and the subsequent battle with his melanoma.
