August 25, 1933  -  January 2, 2010

On January 2, 2010, the Lord suddenly took my wife, our mother , grandmother and sister.

She was born in Amato, Catanzaro, Italy, the eldest of five children.  She married Frank Masi on September 15th, 1955.  In December of 1958, she immigrated to Canada with her husband and two young children, Andrea two years old and Rina, four months old.  She then gave birth to three more sons, Tony, Savey and Gino.  Her passion was her vegetable garden and flower garden.  She had a heart of gold and took care of her family and grandchildren.  Everyone who knew her knows how generous, kind and accepting she was of everyone and anything.  She was the happiest when her children, grandchildren, friends or family came to visit.  She was very loved by everyone and will always be in our hearts and thoughts.  We will all miss her very much.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank; her children: Andy(Stephanie), Steven and Eric, Rina(Greg) Hunter, Jennifer and Kristen, Savey(Coral), Lita, Matthew, Gino, Daniel and Nathan. Daughter in law Tina Masi, Frankie, Devan and Miranda and six great grandchildren.  She also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Angela Masi, Giulia(Luigi) Torchia, Mirella Martino, her brother Joe(Pina) Mazzei  and numerous nephews, nieces and loved ones.  She was predeceased by her son Tony in May of 2005.

Prayers will be recited in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in the Church on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.

Entombment will follow at Sage Valley Mausoleum.

Should friends desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 201 – 635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, B.C., V2C 2B3, would be appreciated in her memory.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to Rina and her family. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your Mother, Isabella. I know that you all will miss her terribly. When you lose someone you love, it almost seems like time stands still. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
