My heartfelt sympathy to Greg and his family over the loss of his mother, who was my friend for over 50 years. I will miss our telephone conversations, and she will remain in my memories forever.
Greg, Alyssa and Andrew,
So sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. She will be missed terribly but, her memory will be with you always.
Bernie and I were very sad to hear of Helen’s passing. We had occasion to meet her a number of times, and she was always smiling and gracious. She dearly loved her family and spoke of them proudly. My daughter Alexis stayed in her home on occasion, and she always commented on her kindness and wonderful cooking. She will be fondly remembered.
We are going to miss Helen. She was in our lives for around 60 years. She, Ted and Greg lived next door to our parents, Mae and Larry Milligan, on East 45th Avenue in Vancouver. We spent many happy hours visiting over the fence or in each other’s yards. As we grew up, we’d stop by for a cup of tea or dinner, when we were passing through Kamloops. We also kept in touch by phone or mail. She always looked on the sunny side of life, making the best of each day. Always remembered, we’ll miss her dearly.
