Gino passed into the presence of Jesus on June 10, 2010. He is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Venise (nee Fuoco), sister-in-law Dora Fuoco of Kamloops, three sons: Ralph (Sandy) of Kamloops Don (Anne) and Frank of Calgary, two grandchildren: Ryan (Brooke) of Penticton and Melissa (Troy Lust) of Grand Prairie and his great-grandchild Mia Lust of Grand Prairie.
Born March 5, 1925 in Revelstoke, B.C., Gino left at age 16 to work the shipyards in Vancouver. He later joined the CPR in June 1943 and volunteered for the Royal Canadian Engineers Army Corp. He was shipped overseas to England in 1944 joining the Queen’s Own Cameron Hjghlanders, Division 3 which landed on Juno Beach June 6, 1944 (D-Day). He later volunteered for occupational duty in Germany. His commitment to his country earned him five medals of valour. Upon returning from the war, Gino continued to work for the CPR and earned the respect of his peers as an engineer. He retired from the CPR June 30, 1981 in Kamloops after 38 years. Gino was very active in the community and was a member of the Colombo Lodge for over 60 years, being president three times. His passion was his family and friends and always put them first. To many, he was known as “Mr. fix it” and built the house his family was brought up and resides in. He loved sports, though his true passion was music, mastering the guitar, mouth organ, keyboard and accordion. He led his band The Serenaders, now know as The Golden Serenaders for over 50 years; playing many functions and always bringing a smile to those who were in attendance. He touched many people over his 85 years and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of RIH as well as home care nurses Anne and Gemma
Prayers will be recited on Wednesday, June 16 at 7:00pm at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Father Fred Weisbeck and Father Derrick Cameron will con-celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in the Cathedral on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00am. Reception to immediately follow at the Colombo Lodge.

First of all I would like to pass on my deepest condolences to the Sirianni family from the whole Boyle family. I grew up five minutes away from the Sirianni household and was always welcomed into their house. Gino and Venise were always very nice to me and treated me like a son and I will never forget that. I reside in Toronto now and when I would come home to Kamloops to visit my parents I would always make it a priority to drop by to see how Gino and Venise were doing. Gino Sirianni was a great man and I will miss him dearly.
Kind Regards,
Bernie Boyle

He was truly a gift from God to us all.
I am lucky enough to have had him as a roommate, a very special friend and what has meant the most, a Father figure. He was always there for Mike and I and gave us nothing but kindness and generosity. We will always remember and respect him.
I hope you can all feel my arms wrapped around you. I am so sorry I cannot be there with you but please know you are all in my Heart.

Gino Sirianni was a hero and inspiration to all of us.
His inspiration and spirit will continue to fill our daily lives, our minds, our souls, our thoughts, and all our moments, each and every day for the rest of our lives, as thinking of Gino only brings feelings and memories of warmth, peace, joy, and inspiration.
To have been blessed to have known Gino since the 1950′s, was an honor and one of the greatest things to have ever touched our lives.
Gino was so generous and sharing of all he could offer to others.
Thank you Gino for all you shared with so many.
Gino was a genius in countless ways: We never knew of anyone so talented, so self taught, so amazing, yet so humble given all his amazing talents.
Gino was a hard working provider to his family, loving father, husband, grandfather,
greatgrandfather, & brother-in law to Dora; an amazing friend to so many.
When Gino was born, God must have thrown away the mould, because there has never been
another person like Eugene Sirianni.
Gino faced adversity with a smile, with determination to conquer, with courage to face whatever came across his path, with no bitterness, but rather with the view of making his life even better,
to do more, to experience new adventures, and to continue to help so many others in this world.
Gino is now resting in the arms of God and all the Angels above, and he will forever be
in our hearts here on earth.
Until we meet again Gino,
Thanks for All The Amazing Things & Memories You Blessed our Lives With.
You Have left an Amazing Legacy that will never be forgotten.
Love Robert, Rita, & Dean Daniele

Dear Venise and Dora, it was always pleasant to visit with you and Gino over the past years as your occupational therapist on behalf on Veteran’s Affairs. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I am thankful that Gino is with his Lord and Saviour right now, perhaps playing every instrument available, and bringing his good nature and humourous spirit to all heaven. I am grateful for the opportunity to have met you all. Blessings to you now and peace as you grieve.
I was and still am in shock after reading of Gino’s passing. This was a gentleman who I met and cared for in RIH as a student nurse. Later I was assigned to help him with his exercises before getting up in the morning. Gino’s determination to go on with his life, his zest for life and the love he shared with all he knew was inspirational. Gino will always have a special place in my heart. I am truly saddened.
God bless him on his journey and God bless those who wait to be with him once more.
Love to you all. Gone but never forgotten…
Jenny
