Tony also leaves a large extended family, including his brother Michael, sisters Rose, Margaret, Eva, and Mary, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by his mother and father, Eva and Karl and his brother, John.
Born in Edmonton in 1932, Tony spent most of his childhood years in Nordegg, AB. Upon graduation from high school, Tony attended the University of Alberta where he completed his medical degree. Tony and Mary Ann married in 1955, and after his internship in Victoria, the couple moved to Kamloops. Tony began practicing with the Burris Clinic as a general practitioner. In 1965, Tony and family returned to Edmonton where Tony specialized in Internal Medicine. The family returned to Kamloops in 1971 where Tony practiced until his retirement in 2004. Tony was active in the BC Medical Association and served as president from 1978-1979. He served two terms as an alderman for the City of Kamloops from 1982 – 1985. Tony’s commitment to his profession was exceeded only by his love and dedication to his family and close friends. His happiest times were shared with loved ones at the family’s cabin on Shuswap Lake. In his later years, Tony found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren, taking interest and pride in all their activities.
The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Wijeysinghe, Dr. Michaud and the nursing staff of the RIH Renal Unit and 7 North for their dedicated and compassionate care. The family would like to recognize the many other physicians and health care professionals who also provided exemplary care to Tony in recent years.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1 pm at the Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, Kamloops, BC with a reception to follow.

So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you.
Judy and I and our daughters Jennifer and Michelle want to express our condolences on the death of our friend Dr. Milobar. I am sure if my mother-in-law Ann Pavlovich could speak she also would want to tell you how sad we are that we have lost a good friend. Dr. Milobar was more comfortable with the common people than with those who had an interest in his friendship. I saw him many times and the conversation was about family, and that to him was a priority. He used to come to Brocklehurst to the orchard to purchase apples and he always wanted the reddest and the biggest apples and for three or four boxes which cost $5 per box he always paid $100. To us that was unacceptable but there was no arguing with him since he wanted the apples to make his mom’s apple pita (strudel) . He carried his mom’s recipe for pita in his wallet because to him no one cooked as well as his mother. Our thoughts are with you all. We are fortunate to have had such friends, husbands and fathers in our lives.
Dear Mary Ann and Family,
We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Tony. He was a Great Man, Father, Doctor and Pillar in our Community. He shall be dearly missed.

Dear Milobar Family,
I worked with Dr. Milobar through the years at RIH (1971 to 2004) as a student nurse, then from ICU and Critical care, to Med.Surg., to Ambulatory Care. He was always a professional and a gentleman, supportive and caring of his patients and also the staff. He will be fondly missed and always remembered.

Dear Mary Ann and Family,
I was reading the local paper on-line as I am wont to do from time to time, and noticed the passing of Tony. I wanted to express my condolences at what must be a sad time for all of you. I did not know him well but I do remember how kind he always was to me when he visited the hotel where I once worked for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
