GLANZER, Anthony Henry
“Tony”
Jan 20, 1917 – May 16, 2010
This kind gentle man passed peacefully to his rest last Sunday morning. Tony was born in South Dakota. When he was five the family moved North, living in Hilliard and then Wolf Creek, Alberta. Later he attended Canadian Junior College and then enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War 11. Tony drove Greyhound Bus for three years, and then began his 33 career as a “hoghead” locomotive engineer for Canadian National, based in Kamloops, BC.
Tony was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Imrie), his brothers Raymond, Ben, Eugene, his son Royce and grandson Jeffrey Harrison. He leaves to mourn, his daughter Yvonne (Marv) Johnstone, his son Ken (Linda) Harrison, his sister Ella McLellan, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and their families.
A big thank you to Tony’s caregivers at Kamloops Senior Village and Royal Inland Hospital.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 364 Fortune Drive, with Pastor Brian Hawes officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
