Annabelle Robins (nee Gibbs)

July 18, 1938January 20, 2010

Annabelle (Ann) Robins slipped peacefully away from all earthly concerns in the wee hours of the morning, January 20 at RIH, Kamloops.

Ann is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 54 years, Levi, daughters Marlene Glover (Nick), Laurie Robins (Allan) and son Levi Robins Jr. (Rae), grandchildren Cole, Glover, Jennifer Glover, Amanda Robins, great grandchild Jacob, and little “baby” Tuffy.  Many nieces, nephews, and friends will miss Ann who lived and loved life fully.

Ann was predeceased by parents, Adelia and Marshall Gibbs, sister Adelia Kirshfelt, and son in law, David Glover. A Joyful family reunion awaits Ann in heaven.

Ann, always with hubby, Levi, by her side, was very active, enjoying ATVing, hunting, fishing, camping and numerous crafts.  Her latest passion was curling, her greatest triumph being a perfect 8 point end.  Ann was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Legion for years.  Also, she was a Beta Sigma Phi member with thirteen years of perfect attendance.  Ann and Levi’s lifelong joy was dancing.  They danced together like two finely carved pieces of a puzzle.  Their latest discovery together was Blue Grass music and the Blue Grass Summer Festivals.

Ann will be greatly missed and never forgotten, in heart or mind.  We love you wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

In lieu of flowers, to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S., Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9  in the RIH, Cancer Services Fund, 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops, BC  V2C 2T1 will be greatly appreciated.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street with Pastor Len DenBraber officiating.

I was thinking back to all the fun we had back in the 70′s. It seems like a lifetime ago. I have fond memories of the blue duster, many dances and going to the drive-in. When I think of Ken, I think of those times and remember the guy who was so much in love with his then girlfriend and soon after his wife. I remember how proud he was of Keith and then Chissy when she came along. I am so sorry for your loss. Our condolences also to Doug, Jim and Bob and their families as well. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
