IN LOVING MEMORY OF
ALDO CRASTI
May 12, 1934 – June 24, 2010
Peacefully Aldo Crasti passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 44 years, Franca; his son Tony of Abbotsford, BC; his daughter Anna (Rogelio) of Denver, CO.; his sister Lidia (Giovanni) Filipaz of Lethbridge, Alberta; his brother Luciano (Adriana) Crasti of Trieste, Italy; his nephews Edi,Valdi and Mauro Filipaz of Lethbridge, Alberta; his sister in law Rose Rende of Kamloops and numerous nieces and nephews.
Aldo was predeceased by his sister Christina, father Antonio, mother Giovanna, brother Enzo, sister Vilma and mother in law Sarina Cuzzetto.
Dad was born on May 12, 1934 in Portole, Yugoslavia. He grew up in Trieste, Italy with his family. While in Italy dad served in the Army.
Dad immigrated to Canada in 1959 and settled in Lethbridge, Alberta. In 1965, he moved to Kamloops, B.C. where he met our mom, Franca.
Dad belonged to the Bricklayers Union where he continued to work until his retirement.
Dad enjoyed fishing, watching sports, was a Master of playing the accordion, doing projects around the house and cooking. Dad truly enjoyed being in his garden in which he received many compliments on. His fruit trees including his grapes and flowers were always a conversational piece. Dad most of all enjoyed being with mom whether it be going to the mall or going to the park but making sure their 2pm coffee break was always on time.
Thank you Dad for caring, understanding, listening and loving us for the rest of your life.
Dad always taught us to be strong and to never give up. He did just that as he ended his journey.
To my loving husband
We’ve shared our lives these many years
You’ve held my hand; you’ve held my heart
So many blessings; so few tears
Yet for a moment, we must part
The memories you’ve given me
Are times I’ve shared with you my love
I’ll hold them, love them
Until we share our lives again.
We will always love and miss you, Tuzzaree
We would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Kamloops Hospice for their compassion and care for Dad.
The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11:00 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 635 Tranquille Road. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
